Here’s a picture from last year of a groundhog in our yard. I did not publish it at the time, but Old Dominion Wildlife publishing standards have gone down in an effort to provide fresh content over the winter.
In local news, Butch the Winchester Groundhog did not come out at all on Groundhog Day. In Pennsylvania, Punxsutawaney Phil called for six more weeks of winter. Perhaps he was right, as we picked up a little bit of snow this past weekend.
