My wife also took a picture of the slimy salamander we found underneath a rock.

Where did you find this? I found a similar one in my back yard? but im in michigan.

I found it underneath a rock. We live in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

i found one exactly like this cleaning out my flowerbeds and in live in central oklahoma. I didn’t know we had them here and its the first one i found and saw in person!!

Thanks! I’m pretty sure the species is called Slimy Salamander (Plethodon glutinosus).
