Dead Southern Flying Squirrel

Expecting to trap a mouse, I was surprised to find a dead southern flying squirrel in a glue trap in my garage. A total of two squirrels were discovered. Their point of entry was chewing through the soffit.

The good news is that the squirrels are eliminated and the soffit is repaired. If you’re looking for service in the Front Royal, VA area, I highly recommend Dolly’s Home Improvement. In addition to repairing the soffit, they also fixed our gutter that was damaged by an ice dam. I’m glad to have the gutter functional ahead of heavy rains expected over the next couple of days.

Not even the power of flight could save him!

:-) Apparently he mistook the glue trap for a runway to land on!

Glue traps are a very nasty way to die. I hope you will destroy yours so no other animals suffer in that way, mice or not.

Rhea, I see your point. I originally had a spring trap “disappear” so I put out a spring rat trap which the bait kept getting stolen from, before putting out the glue trap.
