Today was the first day of meteorological spring. However, we may not be through winter just yet. Kevin Myatt describes the possibility of a Palm Sunday Storm bringing more snow to the Virginia mountains:
A storm system is looking more likely this Palm Sunday weekend. With dense and unseasonable cold air blocked southward through much of the East, there’s a good chance at least some of it, and perhaps a substantial amount of it, will be frozen in our region.
Here are the winter-to-date snow statistics for my location in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Northern Virginia. What started out as a paltry snow season has really added up due in large part the March 6th storm.
