Indian Pipe

Last weekend we hiked the Limberlost Trail in Shenandoah National Park. I’ll write some more on that soon, but wanted to share this picture of Indian Pipe, a unique flower I spotted for the first time on the hike. According to Wildflowers of the Shenandoah Valley and Blue Ridge Mountains:

No chlorophyll is produced; food is obtained from other plants.

    Nice shot! When we lived in Bryce Resort we had some in our yard.
