First Snow of the Season

December 12, 2017

Last Saturday, December 9th, 2017, we had our first snowfall of the season. I measured 4″ of snow in the backyard during the late afternoon. It was nice because the trees were pretty but the roads weren’t too bad.

My girls enjoyed the day riding saucers down the back yard hill:

Also since railroad photography is one of my hobbies, I chased a train from Rectortown to Linden, Virginia and got a couple of photos + video:

4 inches? Not bad! We got teased with about 2 inches in Kensington. Here’s to hoping we have some more manageable snowfalls like this all winter!
