After packing up camp at Seneca Shadows Campground, we headed south to Spruce Knob in Monongahela National Forest. Spruce Knob is the highest point in West Virginia at 4863 feet above sea level. You can drive virtually all the way to the top and then hike the scenic half mile Whispering Spruce Trail loop which features plenty of incredible views. Here are a few pictures:
