Some weather image highlights from this past year included:

Spring Wildflowers

Showy Orchis

Showy Orchis

I spotted some showy orchis in the woods behind the house this year, in addition to the usual bloodroot and yellow lady’s slippers. Prints of photographs are available here.

Also, Bob George was awarded Smoky Mountains National Park’s 2010 “Wildflower Artist of the Year” for his bloodroot painting. Affordable originals, prints, and notecards are available from bgillustrations.com.

A framed 8 x 10 bobcat print would surely be appreciated. Here’s option two available, also showing a bobcat in the wild.

Gifts for Weather Fanatics

This wireless Chaney Instrument Wireless Weather Thermometer is a nice way to read both the indoor and outdoor temperature from anywhere you want inside your house. You cannot go wrong with this gift idea.

A Weather Alert Radio: This clock radio can be used on your nightstand to wake you up in the event of a weather emergency and potentially save the lives of you and your family.

Country Road after an Ice Storm

Weather photos (ice storm and fall snow) photographs are available from Old Dominion Wildlife’s store.

Gifts for Hunters, Cryptozoologists, or Outdoor Photographers

An automatic trailcam is a great gift for anyone who wants to document what is in the woods. This Moultrie Game Spy I-40 Infrared Flash Game Camera (trailcam) is similar to the model I have, but takes better night shots with its infrared flash. A SD Flash Memory Card is a recommended accessory.

Gifts for Wildflower Enthusiasts

Bobcat Prints, Bobcat Downloads, and Bobcat Mugs

Prints and original (full-size) downloads are available here of the bobcat in its natural, wild Blue Ridge Mountains environment.

Virginia Bobcat

There was a third photo from my recent bobcat trailcam series. Unfortunately, the top of the bobcat’s ears were out of the frame so this one isn’t quite as good as the other two.

I have been waiting a long time for something like this. A beautiful bobcat posed perfectly in front of my trailcam with good light conditions.

Larger (full-size) downloads, prints, mugs, and more are available from my qoop store. I have some of my better photographs for sale there.
