High Wind and Red Flag Warnings were posted by the National Weather Service today and numerous brush fires are now burning. Fires include at least one fire in Dale City and this one near Browntown, Virginia that appeared to have spread into Shenandoah National Park.

ABC3 Winchester Update: The fire has crossed Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park; there is another wildfire in Warren County on Blue Mountain near Linden, Virginia.

10. Breaking News: Bull Run Mountain Forest Fire

Bull Run Mountain is on fire at Thoroughfare Gap, VA. The forest fire appeared to have started near the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks and spread up the mountain due to gusty winds. The fire appeared to be completely on the north side of the railroad tracks and fire department crews were at the seen. The Beverly/Chapman Mill site did not appear to be in immediate danger.
