Bloodroot Art

Award Winning Bloodroot Painting by Bob George
Art lovers will surely appreciate the original flower, wildflower, and nature scene paintings available from Bob George Illustrations. Watercolors and acrylics are available in the form of affordable notecards, prints, and originals. The above bloodroot painting won first place in the 2009 Great Smoky Mountains National Park’s Spring Wildflower Art Competition.
Wildflower photographs are also available from the Old Dominion Wildlife print store. Bloodroot may be my favorite wildflower.

I spotted some showy orchis in the woods behind the house this year, in addition to the usual bloodroot and yellow lady’s slippers. Prints of photographs are available here.
Also, Bob George was awarded Smoky Mountains National Park’s 2010 “Wildflower Artist of the Year” for his bloodroot painting. Affordable originals, prints, and notecards are available from bgillustrations.com.
