Recommended Camera

Last year, we finally bought a Digital SLR camera. After doing some research, we decided that the Nikon D3100 would be the best deal for us. I’m admittedly still learning how to use all of the features, but can definitely tell the difference vs our compact handheld.

Recommended Compact Handheld Camera

Our handheld camera is a Canon Powershot SD1100 IS and we highly recommend it.  It is compact, easy to carry, and easy to use when hiking or running.  It shoots excellent clear photos and videos.  There is a digital macro mode allowing for great closeup shots.  Like other digital cameras today, the included memory card has very little capacity so upgrading to a high capacity card is also recommended:
