Our handheld camera is a Canon Powershot A620 and we highly recommend it. Today there is an improved version (A720) for less than $200. Like other digital cameras today, the included memory card has very little capacity so upgrading to a high capacity card is also recommended:
We purchased our Moultrie automatic digital game camera from Cabela’s. The camera runs off a single six volt battery. I recommend using a memory card so you can download pictures without having to uninstall the camera. Here is a similar camera available via Amazon.com:
