On Mother’s Day this year, I realized I didn’t have any flowers for my wife so cut some blackberry bush stems from the yard. Who says blackberry blossoms can’t be used for a centerpiece? Like roses, they have thorns and are pretty.

Blackberry Blossom

It is blackberry picking time here in Virginia. I picked berries for about an hour this weekend. The reward was a delicious blackberry cobbler my wife made.
