December 19th Snow Storm Links

The December 19th snow storm set records at many locations for the largest December snowfall recorded. Its occurrence near the Winter Solstice means short days and not a lot of sun around to melt the snow, especially in the hollows.

KG standing in the snow drift by the breezeway… I turned the rocking chairs over in anticipation of high winds during the December 19th snowstorm. We got 21″ of snow from the storm with drifts much higher.
