Ringneck Snakes
Friday, November 7th, 2008My wife found a few ringneck snakes underneath a rock in our backyard. According to my amphibians and reptiles field guide, ringneck snakes discharge musk and thrash about when captured, but rarely bite. We did not handle the snakes.

Maple in Fall
Sunday, November 2nd, 2008My wife and I hiked the Harris Hollow Trail in Shenandoah National Park on Friday. The bright fall color of this maple tree stood out along the trail.
