The researchers in this study compared the potential distribution of Sasquatch with that of black bear (Ursus americanus). The species showed remarkably similar distributions and the same bioclimatic variables that determined where they were located…
So, next time you suspect you might be seeing a black bear in the nearby woods, it’s possible that you’ve sighted a Sasquatch instead. Wishing you much adventure and many exciting wildlife sightings in the year ahead!
BRMC: Sighting Sasquatch Research

On page 2 of the Bull Run Mountains Conservancy’s Shooting the Breeze newsletter, there is an interesting article by Michele Thieme on a new scientific article:
Black Bear or Sasquatch?
June 22nd, 2009
The automatic trail camera snapped these two images. The year is wrong on the images; they are from 2009. Note the dark fur in the lower left of the first image, followed by the extreme closeup in the second image.
I believe the images are of a black bear, but these photos are inconclusive.

Black Bear or Sasquatch?
September 18th, 2008
My automatic camera captured this recent image. The image is most likely a partial shot of a black bear, but could it actually be a partial image of a Sasquatch?

I added this image to help identify the animal in the previous post. It was taken approximately 15 seconds after the first image; the animal does not appear in this shot.
