1/30/2010 Snow Totals

Here at Old Dominion Wildlife HQ, we picked up 5″ of snow. Other areas of Virginia picked up more as Capital Climate reports:

Blacksburg VA 11.3″
Richmond VA 8.0″s
Norfolk VA 6.1″
Wallops Island VA 10.0″

My friend MaryBeth in Richmond measured over 11″ so the RIC airport reading appears to understate the accumulation in the Richmond area.

More Snow Coming

CapitalWeatherGang details two more chances of snow, tonight and again Friday/Saturday.

Snowy Appalachian Trail

We went for a short hike on December 6th, the day after the snowstorm. These photos were taken south of Manassas Gap near Linden, Virginia.
