Here are a couple more fly poison picks. From a distance, the whitish wildflowers look similar to black snakeroot; however, fly poison can be easily distinguished as it extends from lily-like leaves on the ground.

Here’s a new wildflower for my photo collection. These dutchman’s breeches were photographed near the Stone Bridge at Manassas National Battlefield Park.

During a hike on the Appalachian Trail today, I was not sure what these wildflower were. After consulting my Wildflowers book, I identified them as Rue Anemone. They are small wildflowers with color ranging from white to pinkish-blue.
