After a lull in the action, we started seeing bears again in May. This one was in the backyard along the edge of the woods.

This turkey vulture was making a meal out of a dead snake in the road.

Here’s a shot of skunk cabbage along a wet area of the Appalachian Trail in Virginia. If you crush a leaf, you can understand why this plant is called skunk cabbage.
