Since West Virginia was part of the Old Dominion until 1863, I have decided to include pictures taken in that state on this site.

Yesterday, we went cross country skiing for the first time at Whitegrass Resort in Davis, WV.  At Roundtop, there were several red spruce trees growing.

We had 4.25 inches of snow after last night’s snowfall.  The system brought us a little more accumulation than was forecasted and turned out to be the greatest thus far of the season.

After some ice storms earlier this winter, we’re finally getting some significant snow today before tomorrow’s inauguration. The previous greatest snowfall was 3/4″ in December.
